SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Public Schools and the Spokane Parks Department are set to host a town hall meeting tomorrow night, focusing on proposed projects for schools and parks in the central region of the city.

This meeting, part of a series covering different city quadrants, will discuss potential improvements to North Central High School.

Principal Tammy McCracken highlighted the need for renovations, saying they aim to update outdated facilities like the culinary arts kitchen and theater, which have not seen updates since 1982.

“We have a couple of career and technical education courses CTE courses one being culinary arts specifically and that kitchen was really designed for home economics versus how do we promote a job and career in the culinary arts,” said McCracken.

Residents interested in learning more about the projects or asking questions can attend the public meeting at North Central High School on North Howard Street from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
