SPOKANE, Wash. – Harlan Jordan, 25, appeared in court facing hit-and-run charges following an incident that injured two people and damaged a popular Spokane restaurant’s sign.

Court documents revealed the events occurred in the Country Homes area.

Jordan reportedly told police that the crash resulted from a road rage incident. He claimed another vehicle was chasing him down North Whitworth Road.

Court documents state that Jordan collided with two cars on North Wall. Both drivers involved were injured and hospitalized. Jordan was not hurt in the incident.

Jordan said he couldn’t stop to assist the drivers because he was still being pursued by a different vehicle. The chase reportedly ended at Mama Mia’s restaurant on Francis, where Jordan is accused of crashing into the front sign.

Images show the extent of the damage to the restaurant’s sign. Jordan is currently held in Spokane County Jail with a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to return to court on May 28.
