SPOKANE, Wash. – A frightening incident for a 10-year-old girl in Spokane ended on a happier note thanks to the efforts of her father and local police.
Arminda Johnson and her French bulldog, Ash, were attacked by two adults at Glass Park on Thursday afternoon. Ash was taken during the incident, leaving Arminda devastated.
“It was devastating. No parent wants to get a call like that. She was crying hysterically. It was terrifying just to experience,” said Wayne Bisbee, Arminda’s father.
Bisbee, along with Spokane police, spent the entire night searching for Ash and the individuals responsible for the theft. Their persistence paid off when police successfully arrested the two suspects.
Arminda expressed her gratitude, calling her dad and the police officers her heroes for their role in recovering her beloved dog.
Spokane police confirmed that the two arrested individuals are now facing charges of assault and robbery. Further details from the probable cause document are still pending.
