SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane firefighters responded to a morning house fire on the 1300 block of East Heroy Avenue.
The Spokane Fire Department said the fire broke out around 6:10 a.m. on December 6 and crews knocked it down around 6:20 a.m.
The department said the fire started in the basement and caused damage on the left side of the home.
One woman was inside the house during the incident but she exited safely and declined medical assistance. No injuries were reported.
Investigation is ongoing. The department said the house was a hoarder house, which made access and cleanup more difficult and slowed down their operations.
