Spokane firefighters rescue dog stuck between buildings in Riverside neighborhood

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane firefighters rescued a dog in the Riverside neighborhood who was stuck between two buildings.

According to the Spokane Fire Department, crews responded Saturday after receiving a report of a dog suspended on a wire strung between the buildings.

Firefighters maneuvered into the narrow space to reach the dog, identified as “Rusty,” while additional crew members placed a ladder to the roof and provided guidance from above.

A firefighter was able to safely remove Rusty from the wire, guide him to safety and reunite him with his owner.
