Spokane firefighters rescue cat from house fire

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane firefighters rescued a cat from a house fire in Spokane’s Emerson Garfield neighborhood Thursday.

Firefighters were called to a house on W. Jackson Avenue near N. Adams Street.

SFD says no humans were home at the time but a cat did require oxygen at the scene.

The residents will be displaced by the fire.

The cause is under investigation.
