SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Fire Department recently honored four firefighters from Truck 14 for their outstanding actions during a fire rescue. The team received a special unit citation for their exceptional performance.
On May 8, the firefighters responded to a structure fire early in the morning where a man was trapped inside.
Lieutenant Gabe Bills, Equipment Operator Brian Turpen, along with Firefighters Jeff Hansen and Ryan Finneran quickly collaborated with Engine 11 to combat the flames.
Their swift actions led to the successful rescue of the unconscious man trapped in a perilous situation amid the fire.
