SPOKANE, Wash. – Fire crews responded to a blaze at Norfolk Iron & Metal located at 3900 E Broadway Ave.
The fire was first reported at 12:29 p.m., with crews arriving promptly at the scene.
According to Justin de Ruyter, Spokane Fire PIO, the fire has been contained inside the building.
There are no known injuries at this time, but the incident is causing a significant amount of smoke in the area.
Residents and commuters should be aware that the smoke might affect visibility and could potentially cause traffic congestion in the vicinity.
