SPOKANE, Wash. – New Jersey-based PRISM Vision Group has acquired Spokane Eye Clinic in a recent sale, according to a press release from the organization.
PRISM highlighted its interest in expanding beyond the mid-Atlantic region while announcing the acquisition.
“This affiliation marks an important milestone in PRISM’s commitment to expand its geographic footprint,” the organization said.
“Spokane Eye Clinic has a storied history of excellence in eye care and is an ideal flagship affiliate for us in the Northwest,” CEO of PRISM Dr. Steven Madreperla said. “With a growing team of 27 eye care specialists, including specialists in retina, glaucoma, cornea, cataract surgery, pediatrics, and optometry—with four clinic locations, active clinical trials, and a state-of-the-art dedicated ambulatory surgery center, Spokane has developed a thriving, patient-centered, integrated care model that mirrors what we are building at PRISM.”
Spokane Eye Clinic opened its doors in 1955, and last year brought in more patients than ever before.
Dr. Andrew Cheek, a retina specialist with Spokane Eye Clinic, supported the move.
“Aligning with PRISM Vision Group is the next logical step for us,” Cheek said in a press release. “They offer one-of-a-kind expertise in practice operations and growth that will help us to deliver exceptional, patient-centered eye care for the region at a greater scale.”
PRISM Vision Group was officially founded in 2008, and is led by physicians, according to its website.
