
SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – With the Comprehensive Plan, a blueprint for projected county growth over the next 20 years, in development, Spokane County officials announced multiple upcoming community forums with the goal of obtaining the public’s input on the “growth alternatives being studied and analyzed.”
These forums will cover topics including land use, housing, critical areas, transportation and capital facilities, according to Spokane County Communications Manager Marth Lou Wheatley-Billeter. Public input from these forums will reportedly influence the drafting of the upcoming Environmental Impact Statement for the Comprehensive Plan.
The community forums will be held on the following dates and times, and at the following locations:
Wednesday, October 15 – CenterPlace Regional Event Center from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Monday, October 20 – North Spokane Library from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, October 21 – Moran Prairie Library from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, October 23 – Spokane County Sheriff’s Regional Training Center from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
