Spokane County seeks input on transportation plan amendment

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – The Spokane Regional Transportation Council is inviting the community to share their thoughts on a proposed amendment to the 2025-2028 Transportation Improvement Program

The amendment includes a new project from the City of Spokane Valley. The South Barker Roadway Corridor project aims to upgrade a quarter-mile stretch between Interstate 90 and East Appleway Avenue. This project will add through lanes and sidewalks.

The TIP covers various transportation projects in Spokane County, encompassing road maintenance, public transit investments, and bridge repairs. It is updated monthly, with the SRTC reviewing project additions, changes, or removals.

The public can comment on the amendment until June 25, 2025. Comments can be submitted via email, phone, or mail to the SRTC. All feedback will be reviewed by the SRTC Board of Directors before making any decisions.
