SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane County is seeking a contract with a new medical provider for the county jail after the current provider pulled out of Washington state.
The county identified Mediko Correctional Healthcare as their top choice, a Virginia-based company that county officials say are already expanding west.
The existing agreement will terminate at the end of this calendar year, prompting a rush to secure a new contract in time.
