SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – Spokane County Public Works announced that road restriction season is approaching due to mild weather.
The department plans to update the list of weight-restricted roads across the county soon. These restrictions typically do not affect most cars or trucks. However, heavy vehicles can damage roads as the ground thaws.
Permits for heavy vehicles will not be issued except for emergencies. Variances may be considered later in the season. Restrictions will remain in place until roads dry out and stabilize.
