SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – The Spokane County Parks, Recreation and Golf Department announced that all county-managed parks will open for the summer season on Friday, May 16.

The park service season will run through September 14, 2025, with full amenities such as mowed lawns, open restrooms and operational drinking fountains.

Gates at popular spots such as Camp Caro and Pine River Park are also open, making it easy for visitors to access these areas.

For those looking to reserve spaces or learn more about available services, the department encourages checking the Rental and Special Events sections on its website.

A full map of all county parks is also available.

Meanwhile, the department along with County Commissioners and community groups, gathered to celebrate a ribbon cutting at Bear Lake Regional Park on May 14.

The event marked the completion of a shoreline improvement project that began in the spring of 2024, the department said in a release.

The project followed a two-year planning and permitting process.

The county said the main goals of the project were to enhance ADA access and expand water access through fishing piers.

Designated water access points now offer opportunities for swimming and fishing, while other shoreline areas will be limited for access and restored to prevent further erosion, the department added in the release.
