Spokane County offices close for Juneteenth holiday

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – Spokane County offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in observance of the Juneteenth federal holiday. However, the Regional Solid Waste System Transfer Stations will remain open. For locations and hours, visit the Spokane County Solid Waste website.

With pleasant weather expected, it’s a great time to explore Spokane County’s pools, golf courses, parks, and hiking trails. The Northside and Southside Family Aquatic Facilities offer two daily swim sessions, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Online reservations are encouraged but not required. Spokane County’s golf courses, including Latah Creek, Liberty Lake, and MeadowWood, are open for play. For more information, contact Spokane County Parks, Recreation and Golf at (509) 477-4730 or visit their website.

Enjoy outdoor adventures at regional parks and trails, such as the Dishman Hills Natural Area and Prairie View Park.
