SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – Brian K. Reed, 73, was arrested by Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) deputies after a reported shooting on North Havana Street.

Deputies responded on October 16 around 2:50 a.m. when a victim claimed Reed shot at him from an RV, shattering the driver’s side window of his car.

The victim said Reed laughed from inside the RV, before he called the police fearing for his life. Deputies noticed what looked like a bullet strike on the victim’s car and used a drone to survey the RV before Reed was taken into custody without further incident.

The victim’s girlfriend, uninjured, stated she was asleep when she heard the victim arrive and Reed threatened to grab his gun before a loud bang occurred.

Reed denied shooting, claiming he only had pellet guns, an old inoperable revolver and a shotgun. However, deputies found a spent .22 caliber casing near the window Reed allegedly fired from.

A search warrant led to the seizure of five firearms, two pellet guns, three BB guns, live ammunition and more spent casings.

Reed, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms, was arrested and booked into Spokane County Jail on charges of Assault 1st Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
