SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – A heartfelt memorial service took place Wednesday to honor Sgt. Kenneth Salas, remembered by his colleagues and friends for his dedication and service to the community.
Sheriff John Knowles praised Salas for his dedication to service.
“Rest easy brother,” Knowles said.
Known for his love of rock music and his ability to fix anything, Salas was fondly remembered as a handyman and a service-oriented individual.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Department emphasized that Salas’s legacy will endure.
The service concluded with a poignant call of Salas’s call sign for the last time, with several speakers remarking they hope Salas’ legacy will be a light for law enforcement.
