SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – The Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service (SCRAPS) is on the hunt for a new director following the resignation of Jesse Ferrari.

According to Spokane County Public Information Officer, Martha Lou Wheatley-Billeter, Ferrari stepped down “for personal reasons.”

While the county cannot comment on personnel issues, they have assured the public that the current staff is managing operations smoothly.

“The director of SCRAPS is a very important position and it’s one that we do not take lightly,” Wheatley-Billeter said. “That position will be filled in due time.”

For now, Spokane residents can expect continued service without disruption as the search for Ferrari’s replacement begins, Wheatley-Billeter added.
