SPOKANE, Wash. – Summer Worden, the ex-wife of NASA astronaut and Spokane native Anne McClain, has been sentenced to three months in prison, following .
Court documents revealed that Worden filed a false complaint in March 2019, accusing McClain of improperly accessing a shared bank account while McClain was aboard the International Space Station. Investigations later revealed that Worden had given McClain access to her bank records starting in 2015.
McClain addressed the court and stated that the false accusation had damaged her reputation.
Following the hearing, Worden was permitted to go free with plans to self-surrender at a federal prison. In addition to her sentence, she was ordered to pay $210,000 in restitution.
