Spokane airport sets passenger record with new flights and amenities

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane International Airport (GEG) reported its busiest year in 2025, with over 4.35 million passengers, marking a 2% increase from 2024.

“As the region’s gateway, the airport mission always been two-fold: expand opportunities that connect Inland Northwest communities to the global economy and curate an outstanding first impression that reflects the essence of the region for visitors when they arrive,” said Dave Haring, Spokane Airports CEO. “The new routes, new passenger amenities and transformational enhancements brought to life by the Airport team in 2025 not only reinforce this enduring promise to our customers but also set forth the tone for the growth and momentum we expect to carry into 2026.”

The airport introduced new seasonal nonstop services, including United Airlines to Houston and Alaska Airlines to Anchorage, while also launching year-round service to Orange County.

In 2025, the airport debuted Puerto. Tortas. Tacos. Cantina, a regionally-focused restaurant, and launched a new logo and brand identity. The completion of the Phase 4 expansion of the Rail-Truck Transload Center enhanced the region’s logistics capabilities.

The airport also initiated the Parking Consolidation Project to improve functionality and accessibility across its parking system.

Significant progress was made on the Terminal Renovation and Expansion (TREX) Program, with the Concourse C East Terminal Expansion expected to complete this summer. This phase will replace ground boarding infrastructure with new passenger boarding bridges.

Phase II of TREX, pending future approval, will focus on constructing a 255,000 square foot Central Hall to streamline security screening and baggage claim areas.

Spokane International Airport is the second largest commercial service airport in Washington, generating approximately $3 billion in annual economic impact without taxpayer funds.
