SPOKANE, Wash. – A car crash on Division Street has left authorities searching for the driver and passenger who fled the scene.
Late Tuesday night, a trooper spotted a vehicle traveling northbound on Division Street at speeds exceeding 100 mph. The trooper followed the car for a few blocks before discontinuing the pursuit.
At 12:12 a.m. this morning, the trooper discovered the vehicle crashed into a pole and fully engulfed in flames. Despite the fiery crash, the car remained on its wheels.
The driver and a passenger fled the scene, leaving two passengers behind. It’s currently unknown whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the crash to contact the Washington State Patrol.
