SPOKANE, Wash. – Students on the South Hill are leaving Adams Elementary School for the last time. Built in 1909, Adams Elementary holds the title of the oldest school in Spokane.

Voters approved a replacement for the historic school last November. The groundbreaking for the new building is scheduled for March.

Until then, students and staff will temporarily relocate to the old Jefferson Elementary School, situated about two miles west. The move is set to take place in January.
