SPOKANE, Wash. – In response to significant cuts in government funding, Spokane Neighborhood Action Partners (SNAP) is relocating its financial access subsidiary.
SNAP Financial Access (SFA) will move from its current East Central office to SNAP’s office at 3102 W. Whistalks Way.
According to a release from SNAP, the move will take place from June 25-30, during which walk-in appointments will not be available. Regular appointments will resume July 1 at the new location.
The adjustment followed cuts in government funding and was made to prioritize maintaining core staff and essential services.
“While the number of services we currently offer has been reduced, our commitment to helping Spokane residents stay housed and financially stable remains strong,” said Senior Manager of Financial Stability P.J. Ellis. “Our executive team has developed a thoughtful plan to ensure we remain responsive, resilient, and responsible stewards of community trust.”
SNAP Financial Access will continue to offer foreclosure prevention services through HUD-certified counselors and small business loans and support for local entrepreneurs, according to the release.
