SPOKANE, Wash. – The results are in for the Air Race Classic, the largest all-female aviation race in the world, and Spokane’s own Sky Queens made a notable impact.
Although the Sky Queens did not place overall, they achieved significant victories throughout the race. They won the fastest Leg 9 from La Grande to Spokane, secured second place in another leg, and took third place in yet another.
The race covered approximately 2,400 miles with more than 60 teams participating this year, including the Felts Field Sky Queens. Despite engine issues that prevented them from placing, the team expressed pride in their performance.
The Air Race Classic continues to celebrate and promote female aviators worldwide, and the Sky Queens’ accomplishments are a testament to their skill and resilience.
