SPOKANE, Wash. – Ski resorts are largely open with fresh snow, with more expected over the weekend. However, Spokane has more weekend activities to offer than those on the mountains.
On January 2, the Numerica Skating Ribbon is hosting a DJ night with music, contests and lights from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Orchard Park “Winter Wonderland” Holiday Lights, which have been up since November, is celebrating its final weekend open. Lights are on from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and ends after January 4.
Mt. Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park, which opened last Saturday, received a fresh layer of snow Friday morning. The mountain offers several options for season passes, lift tickets and pricing options.
Visitors looking for a cheaper skiing or snowboarding option at Mt. Spokane can take advantage of its Night Ski Lift Ticket, which is available for $45 Wednesdays through Saturdays. Night Skiing takes place from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on select lifts.
Several other mountain resorts are open as well, each of them boasting a layer of fresh snow. 49 Degrees North received three new inches of snow, Lookout Pass received one-and-a-half new inches of snow, Silver Mountain Resort received two new inches of snow at its summit and Schweitzer received three new inches of snow.
