Single car rollover on SR 20 near Skagit County injures passenger

OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash. – The Washington State Patrol (WSP) reported a single car rollover crash that left a passenger with minor injuries on State Route 20, near the Skagit County line.

According to the WSP, the incident happened around 9:39 a.m. Sunday, when a car traveling eastbound near mile post 169 attempted to pass another vehicle in the passing lane.

The driver, a 77-year-old woman from Mount Vernon, lost control while re-entering the right lane, causing the car to roll over. The car came to a stop on the eastbound embankment.

While the driver was uninjured, a 66-year-old male passenger in the car sustained minor injuries. He did not require hospital transport, WSP reported.
