SHOSHONE COUNTY, Idaho – Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) has not had a functioning email for the last few days, according to an update they released today.
Their email went down late last week, they said, and there is no timeline yet for it to come back online.
The disfunction happened because the company that hosts their emails “apparently” had a data breach and is now trying to recover all of the SCSO emails and accounts.
SCSO said that they are working on finding an interim solution, but in the meantime, they recommended people to call SCSO at 208-556-1114 and speak with the person or department needed to send information to.
They added that they cannot access Public Records Requests made in the last couple of days and may need to be made again by calling into the records clerk.
