WENATCHEE, Wash. – During today’s press conference, Sheriff Mike Morrison emphasized the commitment to bringing Decker to justice.
“We’re not gonna rest and we’re gonna make sure we find you. You will be brought to justice. Those young ladies deserve it,” Sheriff Morrison said.
Authorities are focusing their efforts south of Leavenworth in the Ingalls Creek area.
Sheriff Morrison credited local residents for their tips, which have aided in advancing the manhunt. Items believed to belong to Decker have been discovered during the search.
“We will see a change in our tactics as we proceed forward,” Morrison said.
Sheriff Morrison explained that while the visible resources might decrease, the approach will continue to evolve as they track Decker.
“He’s going to have to aim for perfection. He’s not going to be able to make a mistake because all we need is one mistake and one day to go in our favor and he’s going to be in our custody,” he added.
Sheriff Morrison reiterated the collaboration with U.S. Marshals and other federal agents in the pursuit of Decker.
He stressed the importance of remembering the victims, saying, “That’s for Peyton, Evelyn, and Olivia. Their memories continue to motivate us, continue to inspire our agency to seek justice and be their voice.”

They said law enforcement is still searching for suspect Travis Decker in the area.

The Chelan County Sheriff and the U.S. Marshals Service are expected to give an update on the investigation of the triple murder case for Travis Decker Wednesday at 4 pm.
The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office believes Decker may be in the Blewett Pass area near Highway 97 after receiving a tip from a hiking party in the Enchantments.
The hikers saw a lone hiker who looked unprepared and was avoiding other people.
Search helicopters saw someone near Colchuck Lake, but they ran out of sight.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking that people nearby check their security and doorbell camera for any possible signs of where Decker might be or where he may be going.
Police urged anyone in that area to stay alert, lock their doors and report anything unusual.

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office reports tracking teams believe Travis Decker is in the Blewett Pass/Highway 97 area.
Anyone in the reported area is asked to remain on alert and report any suspicious activity.
A hiking party reported they saw a lone hiker in the Enchantments area that seemed unprepared for the trail and weather conditions that was avoiding other people.
Tracking teams immediately responded to the area and reportedly saw the lone hiker off trail near Colchuck Lake that reportedly ran out of sight as the helicopter passed.
More teams have been called to the area and K9s picked up a trail in the area leading to the Ingalls Creek Trailhead on Highway 97.
Hikers in the Enchantments area who may have seen anything are asked to contact the tip line at 1-800-336-0102, or USMS Tips at www.usmarshals.gov/tips.
Anyone who was hiking alone is asked to also report to the tip line so investigators can follow up.
Cabin owners are asked to keep doors and cars locked and to look out for their neighbors.
If you have cameras set up, the sheriff’s office is asking that you check them.
The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office is still working on the murder investigation at this time.

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday morning that the community alert for the area of Ingalls Creek and Valley High remains in effect while authorities search for Travis Decker.
“As this situation remains in effect, we appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation,” CCSO said.

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has announced that they may be closing in on Travis Decker in the area of Ingalls Creek and Valley High.
“Law enforcement is searching for suspect Travis Decker in the area of Ingalls Creek and Valley High as he is believed to potentially be in this area,” the CCSO stated. “Please secure your homes and vehicles, stay alert, and report any suspicious activity to 911.”
The CCSO added a warning that residents and visitors in the area will see a visible increase in law enforcement presence throughout the night as a precaution.
