SPOKANE, Wash. – U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell will gather with local leaders and parents on Tuesday, February 17, to celebrate the announcement of a new affordable childcare facility in Spokane’s Hillyard neighborhood.
The Northeast Hillyard Childcare Center will provide 100 affordable childcare slots and extended hours to accommodate parents with non-traditional work schedules.
The project is part of the Northeast Hillyard affordable housing initiative and was made possible by a $2 million federal grant secured by Sen. Cantwell.
