Semi truck rollover blocks Highway 27 near Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Wash. – A semi grain truck rollover has completely blocked Highway 27 South near Fairfield. The Washington State Patrol (WSP) reported that the incident happened at 9:27 a.m. Sunday, near milepost 61.9.

Grain and diesel have spilled across the road, prompting authorities to establish a full closure. WSP reported that northbound traffic is being rerouted onto Waverly Road, while southbound traffic is taking Carlton Avenue.

Emergency responders are at the scene, and the Department of Ecology has been notified about the spill, stated WSP. There’s no word yet on the cause of the incident or when the highway will reopen.
