SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service (SCRAPS) announced Tuesday that it was immediately resuming adult dog adoption and had fully cleared its parvovirus watch.

Dogs housed in the A and B pods were previously under quarantine due to confirmed parvo cases, and are now available to be adopted and brought home.

“We are thrilled to reopen adoptions for our adult dogs,” SCRAPS Regional Director Ronnie Schlabs said. “Our team’s hard word and commitment to animal welfare made this possible. Every precaution taken has helped protect our animals and our community.”

Adoption services for puppies, cats and kittens were uninterrupted during the quarantine period for sick dogs.
