LATAH COUNTY, Idaho – The Latah County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warning about a scam targeting residents. Individuals have reported receiving calls instructing them to visit the Sheriff’s Office to submit handwriting samples for FBI analysis.
Importantly, these scammers have not requested money, but authorities emphasize that this is a scam.
The Sheriff’s Office reminds the community that they will never ask for money or gift cards. Residents are urged to be cautious about sharing personal information over the phone.
