TUCSON, Ariz. – Police announced on Friday night that they are investigating a new message related to the apparent kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of “Today” anchor Savannah Guthrie.

The ransom note that investigators have been examining, potentially linked to Nancy’s disappearance, had a deadline of 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Savannah’s brother, Camron Guthrie, recorded a video Thursday night as the deadline passed. In the video, he addressed whoever might be holding their mother, expressing the family’s desire to talk and wait for contact.

Apart from the investigation of the ransom note, there have been no significant updates on the search for Nancy Guthrie.

NonStop Local’s Morgan Ashley reached out to Claire Graham, a former anchor of “Fox First at 10” and a Tucson native. Graham, who now works as the morning anchor for KGUN, noted that her parents live just minutes away from Nancy Guthrie’s residence.
