SPOKANE, Wash. – The holiday season got an early start in the downtown area with a special appearance from Santa Claus on Saturday.
Santa made a magical entrance at River Park Square, arriving beneath the 50-foot Christmas tree. This event marked the beginning of Spokane’s holiday celebrations.
Across the street at Riverfront Park, the Numerica Skate Ribbon celebrated its seasonal opening. Skaters took to the ice from morning through evening, enjoying their first laps of the year.
Both events brought festive joy to the community as residents embraced the start of the holiday season.
