NASA has selected 10 new members for its astronaut corps, including one from Sammamish, Washington, out of a competitive pool of 8,000 applicants.

The new astronauts are part of NASA’s ambitious plan to return to the moon with the Artemis Two mission. This mission is a crucial step before attempting a historic crewed mission to Mars.

Artemis Two is scheduled to launch in April 2026. It will fly around the moon and aims to help confirm the systems needed for human deep space exploration.
