The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) announced Saturday that road blocks will be removed and Icicle River Road will be reopened, after police determined there was no credible threat in the area.
According to the CCSO, hundreds of law enforcement personnel are continuing to work tirelessly to conduct searches of the forests and nearby structures.
“Law enforcement members have conducted thorough searches of the forested areas, the river, and many structures in the area that Mr. Decker was last known to be in. We continue these search efforts, acting upon gathered information and tips from the public, and leads developed through even more search warrants,” the CCSO stated.
Despite the removal of roadblocks and the reopening of Icicle River Road, the CCSO urged the public to remain vigilant as they return to the recreation areas of Chelan County.
Authorities also requested that the public continue to help with the search.
“Please review your doorbell cameras and security cameras for signs of Mr. Decker. If you are out in the woods, or recreation areas, and come across something you believe would be beneficial for law enforcement, note the time and location and mark the location on your electronics if possible,” the CCSO added.
