Rite Aid closures statewide may disrupt prescription access

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Rite Aid pharmacy closures across the state could affect access to prescriptions, the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) warned.

DOH advises people to find out when their local Rite Aid pharmacy will close and where prescriptions are being transferred.

Patients are also urged to update their healthcare providers with the new pharmacy’s name and location. Confirming the new pharmacy’s hours and location is also important.

Patients should contact their pharmacy three to five days before refills are due to avoid any disruptions, DOH said.
