SPOKANE, Wash. – U.S. Representative Michael Baumgartner has shared his views following the recent ‘No Kings’ Day protest in Spokane.

Thousands of people gathered for the event, many expressing their dissatisfaction with the Trump administration.

Attendees voiced concerns over federal actions, healthcare, LGBTQ+ rights and environmental policies.

Baumgartner acknowledged the importance of the right to protest, while offering his perspective on President Trump’s recent achievements.

“Obviously, there’s some irony in the No Kings Protest, because it took place in the middle of a government shutdown, and if President Trump were a king, the protests… the shutdown would be over,” said Baumgartner.

There have been no reported arrests from the protest, and it remains unclear if any charges have been pressed.
