COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – Re-Leaf Coeur d’Alene is giving away free street trees to homeowners within the city limits. The city announced it will plant 100 trees this spring at no cost to residents who sign up.
Homeowners need to care for the trees, which includes watering and protecting them. The Parks Department confirmed that the trees will be planted by crews in April or May.
Residents interested in receiving a tree must apply by March 13.
