
Liberty Lake, WASH. — Drivers who use westbound I-90 in Liberty Lake should plan for additional travel time starting Monday.
Washington Department of Transportation says contractor crews will resume a project to install ramp meters at the Harvard Road interchange.
As part of this work, the DOT says crews will close the Liberty Lake Road on-ramps to westbound I-90 and the right lane of westbound I-90 at the Harvard Road interchange. In a release, the department wrote:
The southbound Liberty Lake Road on-ramp to westbound I-90 will close from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, April 6–9. The northbound Liberty Lake Road on-ramp to westbound I-90 will close during the same hours Monday through Thursday, April 13–16. The ramps will remain open during peak commute hours from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.In addition, the northbound Liberty Lake Road on-ramp to westbound I-90 will also close Monday, April 13, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Additional evening closures after 6 p.m. may occur periodically throughout the project.The right lane of westbound I-90 will close near the Harvard Road interchange from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Thursday, April 6–9 and April 13-16.
During the week of April 6, travelers needing access to westbound I-90 will be detoured to the Barker Road interchange. During the week of April 13, travelers will be detoured through the roundabout to the southbound Liberty Lake Road on-ramp to I-90.
