SPOKANE, Wash. – The annual Race to Remember 5K took place Saturday morning at Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.
Participants ran alongside more than 1,500 full-size American flags, creating a patriotic scene. Many attendees were veterans or had family members in the military, adding a personal connection to the event.
The race raised money for the Beyond the Call program, which supports military families dealing with the loss of a soldier. This program plays a vital role in helping families navigate the challenges that come with such a loss.
