Quincy collision injures two, improper lane usage cited


GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — A collision east of Quincy left two people injured on Thursday.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. on State Highway 28.

WSP said that a black 2015 Ford Mustang, driven by 77-year-old man from Moses Lake, veered off the eastbound lanes and struck a stationary red 2010 Ford Fusion. The impact pushed the Ford Fusion into two individuals standing between their vehicle and a blue 2020 Toyota Camry.

The injured individuals, a 23-year-old and a 48-year-old, both from Quincy, were transported to Quincy Valley Medical Center.

WSP attributed the collision to improper lane usage. There was no involvement of drugs or alcohol in the incident.

All vehicles involved sustained reportable damage and were towed from the scene.
