MOSCOW, Idaho – Bryan Kohberger, the suspect in the quadruple murder of four University of Idaho students, is appearing in court for a pretrial hearing.
The defense has presented a filing suggesting the possibility of another perpetrator responsible for the killings. Judge Stephen Hippler asked the defense for further evidence to support their claims.
He explained the need for the allegations to be considered in court. The judge also instructed the state to provide a counterargument.
During the hearing, Judge Hippler warned Ann Taylor, Kohberger’s attorney, about the potential inadmissibility of some filings.
The court session included discussions on jury selection and the trial, which is scheduled to begin in August. The hearing is expected to continue for several hours as more updates become available.
