
MOSES LAKE, Wash. – The public is being advised to avoid water activities at Montlake, McCosh parks shore area due to a wastewater line break, according to the City of Moses Lake’s Wastewater Division.
The break was discovered at 6:30 a.m. this morning at the 1300 block of Lakeside Drive.
Wastewater flows to the broken line have been stopped and repairs are underway, according to a press release by the Moses Lake Municipal Government.
Montlake Park, including the boat launch, will stay open during this time, as well McCosh Park.
Signs will be posted at the waterfronts about the event.
Both Montlake Park and McCosh Park are irrigated with lake water, according to the release, and as the City receives updates, they said that staff will turn off the irrigation systems if needed.
The City of Moses Lake plans to put updates on their website once more details become available.
