
WASHINGTON – Providence Health & Services – WA has announced a permanent reduction in force affecting 57 employees across various locations, including Spokane, Richland and Walla Walla. According to an official document, the layoffs will be finalized by January 20, 2026.
Impacted employees will continue to receive their regular wages and benefits for 60 days from the notice date. They will also have the opportunity to apply for open positions within the Providence family of organizations.
The layoffs are governed by the Washington WARN Act, ensuring proper notification and adherence to employment rights. For union-represented employees, any bumping or recall rights will be determined by their Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Providence Health & Services is working to protect the privacy of affected employees. They have requested that the Employment Security Department (ESD) notify their designated representative if there is a public disclosure request for employee information.
