SPOKANE, Wash. – Protests have erupted near Riverfront Park in downtown Spokane, drawing a significant crowd and law enforcement presence.
The protests started this afternoon and have been growing more chaotic.
Spokane Sheriff’s Deputies recently arrived at the scene, believed to be facilitating the transfer of detainees to a red van.
However, protesters have surrounded the vehicle, linking arms and chanting, “Let them go.”
Some individuals are reportedly carrying pepper spray.
