
SPOKANE, Wash. – Eleven protestors are at Spokane’s Department of Homeland Security office, where non-essential employees were sent home for the day.
The protest began quietly. It was scheduled to start at 10 a.m. and began with the organizer and one other person, but it grew to a gathering by eleven at 11 a.m.
Department of Homeland Security staff told NonStop Local it sent all non-essential workers home for the day.
Consequently, one person who arrived at the Department’s office for an appointment was turned away when nobody answered the door to the office.
