WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald Trump is set to meet with Edan Alexander, a recently released Hamas hostage, in the Oval Office.

According to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Alexander and his family will join the president for the meeting. The first lady is also expected to attend.

Alexander spent 584 days in captivity after being abducted by Hamas during the October 7, 2023, attacks on Israel. He is the last living American hostage from Gaza.

Video footage shows Alexander’s family arriving at the White House, where they were escorted into the West Wing. They are expected to proceed through a series of hallways leading to the Oval Office for the meeting with President Trump.

The meeting highlights the ongoing efforts and diplomatic engagements concerning American hostages. The outcome of the Oval Office meeting remains to be seen.
