POST FALLS, Idaho – The City of Post Falls is excited to introduce Casey E. Drews as its new City Prosecutor. Drews, a seasoned litigator and lifelong North Idaho resident, will start her new role on June 24, 2025.

Drews brings nearly a decade of public service and trial experience to the city’s Legal Services Department. She previously served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Kootenai County, handling cases like violent crimes, narcotics, and property offenses. Drews also took on the role of designated prosecutor for the Mental Health Court Program.

City Attorney Field Herrington spoke about the significance of Drews’ appointment: “Following the appointment of Eileen McGovern to the magistrate bench, we knew filling her role would require someone with both courtroom acumen and community perspective. Ms. Drews brings precisely that.”

Drews, who graduated from the University of Idaho College of Law, shared her enthusiasm: “As a fourth-generation Idahoan, I’m deeply honored to serve in this role and give back to a state and community that have shaped who I am.”

With strong ties to the region, Drews is eager to bring her experience and dedication to Post Falls, focusing on fairness, accountability, and trust in the legal system.
