BOISE, Idaho – The U.S. Marshals Service Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force is asking for public assistance in locating Travis Decker who was reportedly seen in the Bear Creek area of the Sawtooth National Forest.
Decker is wanted by the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office for three counts of murder and three counts of kidnapping involving his children, ages 5, 8, and 9, on May 30.
On July 5, a family recreating in the Bear Creek area provided a tip matching Decker’s description, the U.S. Marshals Service said in a release.
He was described as a white male, between 5’8″ and 5’10”, wearing a black mesh cap, cream-colored t-shirt, black shorts, and a black JanSport backpack. He had a long ponytail, overgrown beard and mustache, and was seen wearing converse or vans low top shoes, the release said.
The U.S. Marshals Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force collaborates with multiple agencies, including the Ada County Sheriff’s Office and Idaho State Police, to apprehend violent fugitives.
